Terms on every beat license
- Credit: “Prod. by MATTER” in your song's title or credits wherever it's released.
- Publishing: MATTER keeps 50% of the writer share (publishing) of your song. Register the song with your PRO listing MATTER's share.
- Ownership: a lease is a license, not a sale. MATTER keeps ownership of the beat.
- Leases survive an exclusive: leases sold before an exclusive sale remain valid.
- Upgrades: move up a tier by paying the difference, as long as exclusive rights haven't been sold.
- Caps: limits apply to your song in total across all platforms. Upgrade if you expect to pass one.
- Not allowed on leases: reselling or giving away the beat or its stems, putting it in a beat/sample pack or AI training set, claiming the beat as your own, or registering it in YouTube Content ID or other fingerprinting systems. MATTER can whitelist your channel or release a claim on request.
- Term: to be confirmed (draft suggests no expiry).
Sample packs, drum kits & loop kits
- Royalty-free for use inside your own music, including commercial releases and beats you sell or lease.
- Credit is appreciated but not required.
- You may not resell, share, repackage or redistribute the sounds themselves (alone or in another kit), use them in AI training, or register the raw sounds in Content ID.
